Event Assistant

Perth STEM is always looking for bright and enthusiastic individuals who have a passion to share STEM to others. In this role, you will share your passion for Science and Technology to the young children and families at our events. Our goal is to educate and entertain Perth’s young, bright minds on Science, Technology and Engineering through fun and exciting hands on activities.

– Running food and drink stalls
– Directing guests and guiding them around our events
– Assisting in the setup and packdown of our events

Event Coordinator

Perth STEM is always looking for bright and enthusiastic individuals who have a passion to share STEM to others.

We are looking for people who:

  • Are passionate about Science and Technology
  • Loves to help people in the community
  • Are bright and enthusiastic people
  • Are friendly, outgoing and those who endeavour to learn new things
  • Have great integrity, communication and leadership skills
  • Drivers License (or Ps) is preferable but not required
  • 15 years or older

What you will do:

  • Coordinating other volunteers during events
  • Assisting in the organisation and planning of new events
  • Represent Perth STEM during our events
  • Be able to help pick up and drop off event supplies
  • Demonstrating experiments to children and parents
  • Running food and drink stalls

Web Developer

Perth STEM is always looking for bright and enthusiastic individuals who have a passion to share STEM to others.

This role can be done remotely. However, if you are based in Perth you are invited to attend our functions at your discretion.

We are looking for people who:

  • Are passionate about Science and Technology
  • Loves to help people in the community
  • Are bright and enthusiastic people
  • Are friendly, outgoing and those who endeavour to learn new things
  • 15 years or older
  • Have experience with the WordPress Content Management System
  • At least basic website frontend design skills, and concepts

What you will do:

  • Assist in keeping our websites up to date with the correct information
  • Creating new pages and layouts when required
  • Updating the website to ensure it meets the community standards and expectations
  • Design, coding and layout of public websites

  • Have management experience or would like to gain experience in this role
  • Be 16 or over
  • Have great communications skills

What you will do:

  • Dealing with Perth STEM’s correspondence (with assistance from the Media & Comms team)
  • Consulting with the chairperson regarding the business to be conducted at each committee meeting and general meeting
  • Preparing the notices required for meetings and for the business to be conducted at meetings
  • Maintaining Perth STEM’s records and registers
  • Maintaining Perth STEM’s Constitution
  • Ensuring the safe custody of the books of the Association
  • Maintaining full and accurate minutes of committee meetings and general meetings
  • Participate in Perth STEM’s management Committee.
  • Participate in Perth STEM’s quarterly Committee meetings.

  • Writing and creating our annual reports, acquittal reports, and evaluation reports
  • Participate in Perth STEM’s management Committee.
  • Participate in Perth STEM’s quarterly Committee meetings.

  • Ensuring that any amounts payable to the Association are collected and issuing receipts for those amounts in the Association’s name
  • Ensuring that any amounts paid to the Association are credited to the appropriate account of the Association, as directed by the committee
  • Ensuring that any payments to be made by the Association that have been authorised by the committee or at a general meeting are made on time
  • Any other Treasury duties as stated in Perth STEM’s Constitution
  • Participate in Perth STEM’s management Committee.
  • Participate in Perth STEM’s quarterly Committee meetings.
